Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease at UNC

The Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease is a collaborative GI research center at UNC Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University that promotes multidisciplinary research on digestive and liver diseases.

Our Mission

The mission of the CGIBD is to promote and enhance multidisciplinary digestive disease research.

 

The scientific focus of the CGIBD is the study of inflammation as it relates to inflammatory bowel and other digestive diseases.

The Center is composed of five cores:
