Our Mission
The University of Chicago Digestive Disease Research Core Center (DDRCC) is committed to building a better understanding of gastrointestinal diseases like inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and related inflammatory diseases of the bowel by fostering research, collaboration, and new technology and by providing education and resources to talented young investigators in the field of digestive disease research. We offer state of the art services through five core facilities including: the Integrated Translational Research Core, the Host-Microbe Core, the Tissue Engineering and Cell Models Core, the Tissue and Cell Analysis Core and the Administrative Core. The DDRCC continuously evolves to meet the needs of investigators and to anticipate new trends and technologies in biomedical research.
